To Whom It May Concern:

The Inland Empire Plumbers and Steamfitters Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee hereby issues official notice to all interested parties that they will continue to accept applications for apprenticeship opportunities.

Inland Empire Plumbers and Steamfitters Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee will not discriminate against apprenticeship applicants or apprentices based on race, color, religion, national origin, sex (including pregnancy and gender identity), sexual orientation, genetic information, or because they are an individual with a disability or a person 40 years old or older. Inland Empire Plumbers and Steamfitters Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee will take positive action to provide equal opportunity in apprenticeship and will operate the apprenticeship program as required by the rules of the Washington State Apprenticeship and Training Council and Title 29, Part 30 of the Code of Federal Regulations.

As part of the Committee's continuing Affirmative Action efforts, minorities and females who meet the minimum qualifications, as outlined on page two of this notice, are urged to apply during the application availability periods as detailed in the following paragraph:

Applications will be available at UA Local 44 Plumbers and Steamfitters Union offices, 3915 E. Main Avenue, Spokane, Washington, 99202, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday; excluding holidays.

The deadline for returning completed applications and other required documents will be thirty (30) calendar days before the interview dates. Any application returned after the thirty-day time limit will not be processed by the Committee.

Following the individual application issuance and return period, all applicants who have met the minimum qualifications and have passed the written exam, will be notified when and where to appear for their evaluation interview before the JATC. This oral interview will be one of the factors used in determining each applicant's position on the eligibility pool list. The interview portion of the selection procedure will be scheduled on a periodic basis as needed.

Complete information regarding minimum qualifications and also a brief description of some of the work involved in the trade are attached and thus made a part, by reference, of this official notification.
